Sports Injury Management

If you’ve been injured while playing sports, our physiotherapists can help you recover with treatments to manage symptoms, regain function and plan the recovery timeframe to allow you the best chance to get back to your sport safely and effectively.

Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a hands-on treatment where your physiotherapist uses a variety of techniques including soft tissue manipulation and joint mobilisation to reduce pain and improve mobility.

Taping and Bracing
Taping and bracing techniques are used to support injured muscles and joints, reduce swelling, and prevent further strain. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or managing chronic pain, these treatments provide extra stability while you heal.

Exercise Therapy
Exercise therapy is individualised exercises and progression to provide graduated exercises to improve strength, coordination, endurance and other physical attributes. This may include, when relevant, progressive exposure to provocative movements to de-threaten them.

Dry Needling
Dry needling is a physiotherapy technique where thin, sterile needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points or tight muscle bands to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve mobility. It works by stimulating the nervous system, increasing blood flow, and promoting the body’s natural healing response. Physiotherapists undergo specific training to be able to offer dry needling as a treatment modality.
