Stacey Rogers
Senior Physiotherapist

BSc (Physiotherapy)

Stacey grew up in the central wheatbelt town of Cunderdin, where her family still farms. She has had a keen interest in sports and outdoor activities from a young age, and continued this sporting involvement whilst at boarding school in Perth.

Intuitively, given her active and sporting background, Stacey was driven to pursue a health and sports orientated career. Attending Curtin University and completing her Physiotherapy degree in 2007, Stacey then went on to work for Lifecare in 2008 – gaining private practice and Pilates instructing experience.

Stacey then returned a rural setting at the end of 2009, extending her private practice experience and Physiotherapy knowledge by taking on Right Move Physiotherapy in Merredin in 2012. As the owner and principle practitioner, Stacey gained significant experience in the musculoskeletal and sporting fields, with involvement at numerous sporting clubs and levels over the past 7 years.

Stacey has completed certification in Pilates Instruction and Anatomical Acupuncture, and has completed a Lyn Watson Level 1 Shoulder Course and a Sports Level 1 Course. She is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Sports Physiotherapy Association.

Stacey is now in her 10th year of practice, and her passion for sport and exercise has motivated her relocation to Albany and employment at SCSM. Stacey is very excited at the opportunities ahead, as she has a keen interest in injury management and rehabilitation, with a strong focus on education and strategies addressing injury prevention.

Always striving to learn as a clinician, Stacey is looking forward to combining her knowledge and passion to assist athletes and patients in achieving their ultimate level of function, health and wellness.

Dr Jen and Kate recently went along to a seminar that explored many of the aspects of mood disorders

What the seminar really highlighted, was that there are an incredible number of factors that could be contributing to low mood, depression or anxiety, we can’t just single-out serotonin anymore!

Because these factors are so intimately connected, focusing on just one of those, like in a more conventional approach, just isn’t enough.

Our nutrition team have always taken a holistic approach to wellbeing, so this information didn’t really come as a surprise, but has spurred our thirst for knowledge even more!
